First Lady Laura Bush meets with 12 women from Afghanistan at the White House Tuesday, November 27, 2001. The women are in Washington this week to meet with senior government officials, participate in a Georgetown University public forum and receive training. Many of them are refugees who fled the Taliban and are now poised to lead again in Afghanistan. The First Lady spoke with them about human rights issues.
